JIM ALBERT: Founder, CEO and Member of the Board of Directors
Co-founded Neptune in 2016 to change the way America buys flood insurance. Before Neptune, as Chief Information Officer of Bankers Insurance, Jim led the technology and data analytics team at this Florida-based insurer. He also managed and upgraded the technical platform, supporting the WYO flood product via the NFIP as well as a proof-of-concept private flood program. Before Bankers, Jim held roles as President of a technology consulting firm, Managing Director of five brands in London, and many leadership roles with AT&T and Bell Labs.
STEPHANIE LEE: COO and Member of the Board of Directors
Stephanie joined Neptune Flood in August 2016 as Chief Operating Officer and is the primary architect of the Neptune distribution network. She partnered with Jim Albert, CEO, to build the business model and strategy, taking Neptune from pre-market startup to the current state of established, rapidly growing innovator in the national private flood market. Stephanie is an entrepreneurial, intellectually-agile insurance executive with over 22 years of accomplishments in market entry, distribution development, product positioning, strategic partnerships, relationship marketing, operational efficiency, customer experience optimization and strategy execution for startup to Fortune 50 insurance companies.
Prior to Neptune, she was founder and CEO of Limitless, a strategy consulting firm for established and startup insurance companies. From 2008 to 2015, she was President and COO of Prepared Insurance, a Florida domestic insurer. She built her insurance expertise in sales, distribution and marketing beginning at AIG Europe, a global market leader. Stephanie is a strategic, innovative and versatile leader, well regarded for high ethics as well as high successes.
TREVOR BURGESS: Chairman of the Board of Directors
Trevor is the Chairman of TRB Development, a diversified residential real estate development and consulting company. Trevor is the former President & CEO of C1 Bank and its bank holding company, C1 Financial (NYSE: BNK). C1 Bank was a $1.7Bn bank focused on the needs of entrepreneurs with headquarters in St. Petersburg, Florida and had 31 offices throughout Florida. Trevor was named the 2014 American Banker Community Banker of the Year and was recognized as the 2013 Ernst & Young Florida Entrepreneur of the Year in the financial services category. In 2014 SNL named C1 Bank the 6th fastest growing bank in the country over the prior five years. Mr. Burgess served as a director of C1 Bank since acquiring control of C1 Bank’s predecessor bank on December 3, 2009. C1 Bank was acquired by Bank of the Ozarks in July 2016 generating a 47% return for its IPO investors in less than 24 months.
Mr. Burgess is a prolific financial-technology inventor with four patents awarded and seven more under application. Mr. Burgess served as a Managing Director of Morgan Stanley, where he executed initial public offerings and other capital raising transactions as an investment banker in the Equity Capital Markets Division. During his nearly ten years at Morgan Stanley (1998 – 2008) he executed over 100 transactions raising over $50 billion for his clients. After graduating from Dartmouth College in 1994 Mr. Burgess was a Consultant at Michael Porter’s Monitor Company in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
JON CARLON: Member of the Board of Directors
Jonathan Carlon is currently the President of TRB Development. TRB Development focuses on the acquisition and improvement of residential land along Florida’s gulf coast and has more than 200 home sites currently under construction. Previously, Jonathan served as Vice President and Chief of Staff for C1 Bank where he oversaw Investor Relations at the bank. During his tenure Jonathan was involved in the IPO of the bank’s holding company, C1 Financial, on the NYSE, as well as the acquisition of C1 Financial by Bank of the Ozarks in July of 2016.
Jonathan received his MBA from The University of Tampa in 2013.
