Neptune Flood launches commercial insurance

Neptune Flood, a St. Petersburg-based insurance technology company, has begun offering commercial flood insurance for small and mid-size businesses. The commercial product is available in 48 states. Initially, Neptune is offering commercial flood insurance for non-residential businesses such as offices, retailers and restaurants, with a second phase extending the product to hotels, apartment buildings and condominiums later this summer, a news release said. Neptune used advanced computing power to evaluate and price flood insurance policies. The company has more than 30,000 residential policies in place. The St. Pete Catalyst reported last year that Neptune would expand into commercial insurance.
